Safety guide
Before the round
- Choose a place where everyone is allowed to be: a public park during opening hours, your campus with permission, a venue that has said yes.
- In gated societies and townships, check with the RWA or management and tell security staff a game is on.
- Walk the zone edge as a group. Agree on no-go areas: roads, water, construction sites, rooftops, railway lines, private homes.
- Agree on a meeting point and a time to regroup if phones die.
- Charge phones. The app uses GPS during a round.
During the round
- Never run across a road. Look up from your phone at every crossing. Hunters lose nothing by walking near traffic.
- Don’t climb walls, trees or fences, and don’t hide anywhere you can get locked in or trapped.
- Tag gently — a touch, not a tackle. Or skip the chase: a clear photo counts too.
- Photograph only the players in your game, and don’t point the camera at strangers.
- Stay hydrated, especially in summer heat. Take shade breaks between rounds.
- Respect people who aren’t playing. Don’t hide in shops, places of worship, or anywhere you’d make others uncomfortable.
- If anyone feels unsafe — for any reason — press Ruko! (Stop!) No one needs to explain.
After dark
We recommend daylight play. If you play in the evening, shrink the zone, stick to well-lit areas, and make sure nobody plays alone in an unfamiliar place.
Who can play
Personal accounts are for people aged 18 and over. Younger players can join only at organised events run by an adult organiser with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. Organisers are responsible for supervision.
Your location
Your position is shared only while a round is running and only with players in your game — live with your own team, and as periodic pings with hunters if you’re a runner. It stops when the round ends or when you’re tagged, and the precise history is deleted at the end of the round. Never share a game code publicly; only invite people you know.
Reporting
You can report or block a player from the results screen. Reports go to our team, and blocked players can’t join games you host.
